Job Description
Civil Engineer Project Manager, Mid- to Senior Level
Responsibilities:
Provide project management and design oversight of complex land development engineering projects
Oversee and manage simple to complex project budgets
Work directly with clients, jurisdictions, contractors, and other consultants
Manage client expectations on project delivery schedules and quality
Interface with public officials and jurisdictional authorities as necessary to complete project scope
Perform QA reviews of engineering design documents and plans
Prepare project scope and fee proposals for a wide variety of simple to complex land development engineering projects
Serve as a technical and professional mentor to junior engineering staff
Perform calculations and design of stormwater conveyance systems
Prepare Stormwater Reports in compliance with jurisdictional requirements
Design sewer and water systems in accordance with local jurisdictional requirements
Design stormwater detention systems using WWHM and MGS Flood modeling software
Prepare roadway profile designs, grading plans, and TESC plans for project sites
Coordinate workload with CAD Technicians and Project Managers
Communicate with project subconsultants, project vendors, jurisdictional authorities, and clients
Prepare specifications and detailed documentation of project design
Manage RFIs during the construction phase and coordinate effectively and timely with contractors
Prepare permit applications and narratives for various land development permit submittal
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience, with increasing Civil Engineering and project management responsibility
Professional Engineering (PE) License in Washington State preferred, but not required
Ability to work well with clients and jurisdictions
Knowledge of local stormwater requirements, including working knowledge of the Department of Ecology Stormwater Manual for Western Washington, Snohomish County Drainage Manual, Pierce County Stormwater Management, and Site Development Manual, and King County Surface Water Design Manual, among others
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Bluebeam
Desire to mentor and teach junior engineers
Desire to be mentored by other professional engineers
Ability to communicate thoughts and concepts with team members
High motivation to learn
